Objections: To take investigation and analysis on the effect of VEGF on radiation injured random flap through animal model, and compare the effect under different dosages and different stages. Methods:To build animal model of random flap with Wistar rat, and expose it to Co60 radioactive source to build radiated injured random flap animal model. Divide those animal models into groups. Carry out pathological, cytological and biochemical tests. Those models are observed clinically. Record down experimental figures and imageologic files. Thereafter analysis those figures statistically. Results: Exogenous VEGF has distinguished therapeutic effect on radiated injured random flap. Sufficient exogenous VEGF can effectively boost survival rate of random flap after radiation. The degree of injury can be relieved with a higher dosage of VEGF. And a better result could be acquired if the dosage is administered on the 3rd day after radiation. Conclusions: Exogenous VEGF has obviously therapeutic effect on radiated injury of random flap of Wistar rat. The therapeuticefficacy will be elevated with the dosage raised; however, the relationship between them is not of direct ratio. The best treatment effect can be obtained before the summit of radiated injury, i.e. on the 3rd day after the radiation.
