| Purpose: To assess the short-term effect of CRT in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy by ECG and echocardiographic.Subjects and methods:A biventricular pacemaker was implanted in 16 patients with dilated cardiomyopathy and advanced heart failure. Before and after the operation,we usd ECG and echocardiographic to get the date of heart rate, width of P wave PR and QRS , LV, LVIDd , LVIDs ,IVDd , IVDs, LVPWd, LVPWs, MR, LVEF. And all the date were analysed with SPSS 11.0. Results:Before and after the operation, the heart rate changed from (81.81 ± 17. 11) to (77.94±11.35) per minute (p=0.33) ; The width of P wave changed from (82.5±19.50) ms to (75.94±17.82) ms (p=0. 45) ; PR changed from ( 169.94±30.70) ms to ( 160.19±32.98 ) ms (p=0.33) ; QRS changed from(155. 88±23.62) ms to (127.5±15.38) ms (p=0.14) ; LV changed from(4. 63±0. 75)cm to (4.12±0. 82) cm (p=0.13) ;LVIDd changed from (7. 26±0. 95) cm to (6.53 ± 1.38) cm (p = 0. 11) ;LVIDs changed from (6.24±1.12) cm to (5. 49±1. 54) cm (p=0. 13) ; IVDd changed from (1.04 ± 0.20) cm to (1.14±0.30) cm (p=0. 31) ; IVDs changed from (1.13 ± 0.18) cm to (1.35±0.31) cm (p= 0.02) ; IVDd/LVPWd changed from (0.97 ± 0.16) to (1.02±0.23) (p=0. 52) ; IVDs/LVPWs changed from (0. 92±0. 19) to (0. 96±0. 23) (p=0. 54) ; MR changed from (39.09 ± 15.70) % to (28.08±13.84) % (p=0.04) ; LVEF changed from(28.37 ±11.66) % to (33.67 ± 14.85) % (p=0.29) .Conclusion:After cardiac resychronization therapy, the heart rate and width of P wave and PR had no statistic difference. The width of QRS decurtated. the dimension of chambers heart and LVEF didn' t changed significally. The IVDs were sicker. The mitral valve reversion and heart function were better. |
