Its happen is because of several risk factors produce a marked effect on different links. The most effective measure of prevention and cure is to decide and control the risk factors as soon as possible. In recent years, one of the multitude reasons to cause cerebral infarction, the research of carotid artery atherosclerosis has been become focus. The date indicated that in all of the patients twenty percent to twenty-five percent was because of atheromatous plaque which located in skull outer segment of carotid artery. The carotid artery atherosclerosis is the main reason of atherosclerotic cerebral infarction.Hypertinsion, diabetes, hyperlipoidemia, obesity, smoking, excessive drinking and so forth are the common risk factors to atherosclerosis. But there is other uncertain factors which participate atherosclerosis and cerebral infarction. It has been indicate that hyperuricemia and C-reactive protein(CRP) are risk factors to atherosclerosis, too. The incidence rate of angiocardiopathy and cerebrovascular disease in patients with hyperuricacidemia or higher CRP is obviously higher than those with normal blood uric acid and CRP. For this reason, to find original risk factors and to control them as early as possible is very important to change the prevention and cure of cerebral infarction. We discuss the relationship of carotid artery, blood uric acid and CRP to cerebral infarction by transcranial color Doppler and uric acid, CRP detection. And then to provide new theory for the prevention and cure of cerebral infarction. Methods: The transcranial color Doppler, blood uric acid and CRP detection were performed on all the 278 patients with acute cerebral infarction and 42 health examination persons regarded as control group, which diagnosed by physical examination and cranial examination with X-CT or MRI. According to the ultrasound examination, all patients with acute cerebral were divided into atherosclerotic infarction group(224 subjects)and non- atherosclerotic infarction group(54 subjects). We were to know carotid atherosclerotic plaques of each group by transcranial color Doppler, at the same time we assessed the plaques character, and analyzed the blood uric acid, CRP and other risk factors of cerebrovascular disease. The aim was to study and research the relationship of cerebral infarction and carotid atherosclerotic plaques, blood uric acid and CRP.Results:1.Carotid atherosclerotic plaques were found in 224 of all 278 patients with acute cerebral infarction, the incidence rate was 80.56%.The health examination group was 23.81%.The result was that the carotid atherosclerotic plaques incidence rate of acute cerebral infarction was higher than the health examination group (P<0.05).2.Unstable plaques were detected in 56(24.00%) of all 224 patients who were atherosclerotic cerebral infarction, stable plaques were detected in 168 patients(76.00%).Fifteen patients(6.70%) with unstable plaques was advancing stroke. Three patients(1.34%) with stable plaques was advancing stroke. Seventy-four patients(33.04%) was palindromic infarction of all 224 patients who were atherosclerotic cerebral infarction. The number was seven (12.96%)of all 56 patients who were non-atherosclerotic cerebral infarction.3.Carotid atherosclerosis plaques were more common in the bifurcation, especially in the left side. Furthermore, the infarction and the atherosclerotic plaque was more common at the same side.4.The blood uric acid and CRP of patients with cerebral infarction was obviously higher than the health examination group.Conclusions:1.The relationship between the carotid atherosclerotic plaque and cerebral infarction is prominent, but not the arterial stenosis caused byatherosclerosis. The carotid atherosclerosis is also one of the major causes of recrudescent stroke.2. There are different influence for ischemic cerebral stroke patients by the different carotid atherosclerotic plaques. Unstable plaques is one of the major causes of advancing stroke.3.The change of atherosclerosis is relevant to the location and the side of blood vessel. The change was more common in the bifurcation, especially in the left side. The relationship between plaques and the location of infarction was evident homolat.4. The high level of blood uric acid and CRP is may be one of the risk factors of the carotid atherosclerosis and cerebral infarction. We should carry out the detection of blood uric acid CRP in stroke patients and high risk group, and then supply the necessary intervention. The aim is to provide theory for the prevention and cure of cerebral infarction.5. The color Doppler can observe the carotid atherosclerosis dynamic and without trauma. Furthermore, it can assess the character of the plaques. So it can help us predict the recurrence and advancement of the cerebral infarction. And then provide a kind of theory for us. We can judge the prognosis and choose the cure by it. | Keywords/Search Tags: | carotid atherosclerosis, carotid artery ultrasound, blood uric acid, C-reactive protein, cerebral infarction | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
