China, a country with a large population, has the largest population of old people in the world. With development of the population aging in China, the senile diseases become a great challenge to China. The cardiovascular diseases, such as the coronary heart disease and hypertension, become the greatest enemy to the elderly. The signal of the pulse wave was collected by the photoplethysmography, and the pulse rate variability signal was extracted from it. We try to identify the appropriate parameters from PRV signal to detect and monitor the coronary heart disease and hypertension.According to the mechanism of the pulse wave and the arteriosclerosis theory, the pulse wave signal contains the cardiovascular information.
