| Objective: Restoration of mandible after oncologic surgical ablationhas always been the key project in the therapeutic field of maxillofacial surgery. Self-donored non-vascularized bone grafts (NVBG) and vascularized bone grafts (VBG) are the most common utilized methods for mandibular reconstruction. The purpose of the present retrospective study is to analyze bone grafts healing and bone heights changes of these two methods after transplantation and give probable reference for indication decision.Methods: Performed in the past 10 years (1995-2004), 132mandibular reconstructions after tumor resection were subjected to the study.
