To evaluate the regulation of placental bile salt transporters on bile acids level of maternal and umbilical cord serum and their roles in fetal pathology mechanism of intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP) .Methods TBA and CG levels in maternal and umbilical cord serum were measured by velocimetry and radioimmunoassay respectively in 20 gravidas complicated with ICP (ICP group) and 20 normal gravidas (control group) of late pregnancy. The placental FIC1 mRNA expression of 3 early pregnancy, 3 middle pregnancy and two above groups were tested by real time RT-PCR.Results (1) Both maternal and umbilical cord serum TBA and CGlevels in ICP group were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.05) . Maternal serum TBA and CG levels were significantly higherthan those in umbilical cord serum of ICP group (25.77±16.64 vs 8.55±5.48μmol/L for TBA and 3416.09±1986.04 vs 821.84±673.17μg/dL for CG,... | Keywords/Search Tags: | Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy, Placenta, Bile salt transporters, FIC1 mRNA, Total bile acids, Cholylglycine | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
