Objective This experiment takes adult male SD rats for research. The experiments aim to explore the mechanism of acupunctures' effect on promoting awaking for severe closed brain injury in rats and to provide TBI' laboratory basis by observing the changing amount of ET-1/NO in the blood plasma and variation of BAEP after brain injury. Method choose 42 healthy male SD rats and randomly divide them into seven groups (n=6): the control group, 6-hours, 48-hour and 96-hour brain injury model group, 6-hours, 48-hours and 96-hour for brain injury and acupunctures' treatment group. An hour after severe injury in their brain, acupunctures are given as treatment in their Baihui cave, Shuigou cave and bilateral Neiguan. An electro-acupuncture is given every 24hours and lasts 30minutes. We measure the changing amount of ET-1/NO in their blood regularly and measure the BAEP 6 hours, 48 hour 96 hours after their brain injury. Meanwhile we observe their awareness of the situation and restaurants. Result 1.Suffering closed severe brain injury, the rats' III and V to the...
