This dissertation reported the study on the chemical constituents from two medicinal plants: Magnolia sprengesi and Ophiopogon japonicus cv. mianyangensis. 25 compounds were isolated and the structures of 21 compounds, including 2 new compounds, were identified by spectra and chemical evidences.The first chapter is about the chemical constituents from Magnolia sprengeri. 12 compounds were isolated and the structures of 8 compounds, including 2 new ones, were identified by spectra (1HNMR, 13CNMR, MS, HMBC, HMQC etc.) and chemical evidences: (-)-acuminatin(1), futokadsurin B(2), futokadsurin C(3), (7'R,8'R)-7',8'-dihydro-7'-(5'-hydroxy-3'-methoxphenyl)-3-methoxy-8'-methyl-1-(E)-propenylbenzofuran (4), rel-(8S,8'R)-dimethyl-(7S, 7'R)-bis(5-hydroxy-3-methoxy-phenyl)tetrahydrofuran (5), (1R, 2R, 4aS, 5S, 8aR)-1, 5-naphthalenediol (6), (+)-aristolignin (7), (-)-nectandrin A (8).The second chapter is about the chemical constituents from O. japonicus cv. mianyangensis. 13 compounds were isolated and identified by spectra (1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, NOE and CD) and chemical evidences: 2'-hydroxy-methyl ophiopogonone A (13), 5, 7, 2'-trihydroxy-8-methyl-3-(3', 4'-methylenedioxybenzyl) chromone (14), isoophiopogonone A (15), 6-aldehydo-isoophiopogonone B (16), 6-aldehydo-isoophiopogonone A (17), ophiopogonanone A (18), ophiopogonanone E (19), ophiopogonanone F(20), 6-formyl-isoophiopoganone A(21), methyl ophiopogonanone B(22), p-hydroxy-benzaldenhyde(23), β-sitosterol-3-β-D-gluco pyranoside(24) and 3, 17-dihydroxy-5-spirostene-3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(2→1)-...
