Objective: Recently studies have show that gene type of individual decided the susceptibility to many kinds of disease .Genetic factors play an important role in serum lipid metabolism. Apolipoprotein E (apoE) polymorphism have relativity with susceptibility to Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) in deferent gene type as well as to the level of lipid metabolism. This study is to observe the influence of apolipoprotein E polymorphism on the occurrence of CHD in yunnan province making the best use of the abundance national resources,Bai and Han population included. At the same time,we want provide a new index for early discovery of the susceptible population of CHD and monitor patient's condition and prognosis during patients with CHD risk factors and observe the different infllunce of nationality. Methods: Ninety-eight cases and eighty-seven control subjects come from yunnan province, Han and Bai population included. Han population and Bai population all be confirmed through coronary arteryangiography or clinical diagnose were enrolled and their plasma levels of triglyceride (TG), totel cholestrerol(TC),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) and high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) were determined. Polymorphisms of apolipoprotein E alleles were measured by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) and Hhal endonuclease digestion and Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis (PAGE). Means comparison of continuous numeric variables were tested by the Student's t-test. Categorical variables were used with chi -square test. Multiple logistic regression analysis is performed at last. These statistical analysis are carrrried out through SPSS11.5.Resultesrln Han and Bai population l.ApoE genotype distributing:all patients, apoE fragment were amplified by PCR satisfaction, specical fragment were 293bp and 6 genotypes were found. They were genotype E2/2(lcases), E3/2(28cases),E2/4 (2cases), E3/3 (111lcases), E3/4(42cases) å’ŒE4/4( lcases). Six genotypes were mergered 3 groups. They were e2: E2/2+ E2/3+E2/4,e3: E3/3+E2/3+E3/4 and e4: E3/4+E4/4+E2/4 groups respectively. The all allele frequencies in case group and control group were 8.7% , 75.0 %, 16.3% and 8.6%, 83.3%, 8.1% respectively and the difference of Bai and Han nationality is not significence.2.Among them, CHD group with E4 allele frequencies was higer than control group which occur in both Bai and Han nationality. Significant difference were observed between 2 groups (P<0.01).Patients with E2/2 and E4/2 were fewer,so they were not...
