Studies On The Preparation Of Xingnaojing Injection

Xingnaojing(XNJ) injection is an effective Chinese traditional formula which is composed of four medicinal herbs: Artificial feed Musk, Borneolum Syntheticum, Radix Curcumae and Fructus Gardeniae. The recipe is originated from Angongniuhuang pill. It has been reported that XNJ injection had a lot of pharmacological actions and its curative effects were affirmative and now it had been widely used in clinic to cure central nerve system (CNS) coma, apoplexy, acute cerebral vessels disease (ACVD), alcohol intoxication, etc. Though XNJ injection being sold well as a Chinese traditional emergency drug, the customary dosage had many disadvantages , such as the disadvantage of hemolysis, the quality could not be controlled easily, etc. To solve these problems , the relative studies on XNJ injection were done in order that a new XNJ injection with high curative effects and low toxicity could be obtained.According to literatures and experiments , in this paper, TLC method was used to identify volatile oil ;UV-VIS method for muscone, HPLC method for jasminoidin and curcumin, GC method for borneol to determine their contents in the preparation.The extraction processes of the three herbs were also studied by orthogonal experiment.
