| Objective: To observe degradation of chitosan film under rabbit scleral flap, eye stimulus response, conjunctival follicle, intraocular pressure(IOP), and pathological change. To estimate biocompatibility and effect of decreasing intraocular pressure of chitosan film atrigel used on trabeculectomy in rabbit. Methods: Chitosan film is extracted from shell of snow-crab. 24 cases (48 eyes) were divided randomly into 3 groups, 16 eyes each gpoup. Group A treated with trabeculectomy; group B trabeculectomy with implantion of chitosan film under intertaminal scleral flap; group C with trabeculectomy with implantion of triamcinolone chitosan film atrigel in intertaminal scleral flap. To estimate eye stimulus response, observe conjunctival follicle, intraocular pressure(IOP), pathological change after operation. Results: Chitosan film and chitosan film atrigel are unirritative. 4 weeks after operation, conjunctival follicles of group B/C are better than those of group A. 4 weeks after operation, there are significant differences between group A and group B/C in IOP, no significant difference between group B and group C. 4 weeks after operation, chitosan film was partially fractured and absorbed. Conclusion: Chitosan film and triamcinolone chitosan film atrigel have good... |
