Immunohistochemical Study Of The Neuromuscular Junction Of Ureteropelvic Junction Obstruction

[Objective] :Hydronephrisis due to ureteropelvic junction obstruction is one of the most conmmon malformations in urinary system in pediatric surgery .In rescent years ,prenatal ultrasonic inspection found that about 1000,that the foetus is one cases relative to the UPJO.The prevalence of UPJO is greater ,it occurs more ofen in left than the other. In order to explain the occurrence of constricted segment in patients with UPJO, we studied the neuromuscular junctionin in patients with UPJO applying immunohistochemical methods.[Methods]: Twenty cases (male 13,female 7) aging from 3 months to 10 years of UPJO were reported. The distribution of the neuromuscular junctionin from 10 normal controls and 20 UPJO disease patients was studied by synaptophysin and neurofilament immunohistochemistry. Antimouse synaptophysin and neurofilament serum was used for visualization of neuromuscular junctionin.[Results] : In t the control cases synaptophysin-immunoreactivity and neurofilament-immunoreactivity was widely distributed in the muscle layer.
