| Objective:To observe the effect of Taohezhenwu Decoction in preventing and treating Chromic Renal Failure(CRF) of rat and to explore the mechanism in cellular and molecular level. Methods:The rat model of CRF induced with adenine was taken in this experiment. Forty SD rats were randomly divided into normal comparison group(A), pathology model group(B), Niaoduqing treatment group(C) and Taohezhenwu Decoction treatment group(D), with male and female half and half in each group. B,C and D group were all fed with adenine in the morning and fed with normal saline, Niaoduqing and Taohezhenwu Decoction respectively in the afternoon, while A group was fed with normal saline in the morning and in the afternoon twice a day, totally for 28 days. The general state of health of rats was observed during the experiment everyday. The 24h-urine albumen test and routine blood test were conducted, and electrolytes(K,Na,Cl,Ca,P), CO2-CP, Scr, BUN, UA, NO, SOD, Hb (hemoglobin), RBC and TNF-a were detected after 28 days. The changes of pathology of kidney were observed under microscope after the experiment. Results:After the treatment of Taohezhenwu Decoction ,the general state of health and SG were improved, the level of Scr, BUN, UA, NO ,TNF-a and 24h-urine albumen in CRF rats were significantly degraded (p<0.01), while the lever of SOD , Ca,CO2-CP, Hb and RBC was significantly increased ( p < 0.01,p < 0.05 ) .And the pathology status of kidney in Taohezhenwu Decoction group was improved. Conclusions:The Taohezhenwu Decoction has good curative effect in treating and preventing CRF of rats induced with adenine by improving the renal function, electrolyte disturbances, acid-base equilibrium, hemophthisis and the function of SOD, reducing the harm of NO, TNF-a, and lessening or delaying the deterioration of nephron. |
