Objective: To initial survey the changes of gene expression profiles of adenocarcinoma of esophageal-gastric junction, and to initial explore its molecular mechanisms about carcinogenesis. Methods: The target tissues from adenocarcinoma of esophageal-gastric junction, adenocarcinoma of gastric corpus or antral and normal gastric mucosa were acquired by operation resection. The screening gene expression profiles of adenocarcinoma of esophageal-gastric junction, adenocarcinoma of gastric corpus or antral, and normal gastric were analyzed by the Chip gene expression profiles Affymetrix U133A 2.0.Results: The adenocarcinoma of esophageal-gastric junction was compared with normal gastric tissues, The total 773 difference expression genes (above 2-fold) was found , including 364 up-regulated genes and 409 down-regulated genes. The fuctions of these related genes were involved in metabolism, cell cycle, apoptosis, cellular signal transduction, cell skeleton and so on. The adenocarcinoma of esophageal-gastric junction was compared with the adenocarcinoma of gastric corpus or antral, The total 488 difference expression genes (above 2-fold) was found , including 209 up-regulated genes and 279 down-regulated genes. The fuctions of these related genes were also involved...
