The Research Of Health Status Of Female Migrant Workers And Relevant Factors

Female migrant worker is a special group during the current social transition. They play a very important role in economic development, the prosperity and the construction of the city. However, they inferior to other groups, face various disadvantage situations in society: low social status, intensive labor, long working hours, low wages, poor labor protection,lack of social security and short of care to their psychological health condition. As the vulnerable group living in city, there is no basic medical care service available, no effective guarantee for their legitimate health right and interest. This paper focuses on the health status of Female migrant workers in Changshu City by the methodology of questionnaire and interview. Combined with the material collected earlier, it probes into the factors that have affected their health statues, while present the writer's suggestion on how to improve their health status.
