ObjectiveFrequently, Low back pain is mainly caused by the degeneration of the intervertebral disc. A number of basic researches and clinical practices show that the typical pain-caused mechanism, the compression of the nerve root by the herniated disc, can not explain all the clinical symptom . Recently, the concept of local chemical mediation of pain by the injured tissue has gained favor. Many cytokines have been identified that may be responsible for chemical mediation of pain. Findings in the animal studies and clinical researches suggests that PLA2 is not only the important inflammatory cytokines and pain-caused factor but also the special signature of local tissue inflammation .The activity of PLA2 is closely associated with the intervertebral disc degeneration, intervertebral disc hemiation, radicular pain and lumbar discogenic pain .Furthermore, it is the initial factor of a series of pathophysiology changes .The less invasive techniques including the percutaneous nucleoplasty introduced in recent years are based on Hi-tech equipments and medicine , which are engaged in less pain and more effective clinical outcomes .The mechanism of the percutaneous nucleoplasty is thought to ablating nucleus pulposus tissue and decreasing the intra-disco pressure. However in the clinical setting, the mechanism of intro-disco decompression can not explain all of the reasons, such as the patients suffered from the low back pain without high intra-disco pressure can be cured or preoperative pain were relieved .Literature retrieval in recent 10 years show that no relative articles were reported about the effect of Coblation for the PLA2 activity in the degenerative intervertebral disc . Based on the theory of the relationship between the inflammatory mediation and nerve injury in the degenerative intervertebral disc, the study is designed to explore the effect of Coblation for the PLA2 activity in the intervertebral disc of degenerative intervertebral disc , and provide the...
