| Ceramic materials have been successfully used for dental restorations for a long time. The main advantages of the ceramic restorations are esthetic properties and biological compatibility. However, most of the traditional ceramic materials do not meet the mechanical needs, showing high fragility and hardness, and also need high sintering temperature. All of these contribute to the blocking of long-time development of traditional dental ceramics. Nanoceramic has been developed during the 1980's. Because the particles of ceramic reduce to nano-scale,the nanoceramic has some distinct properties such as higher intensity and toughness, super plasticity and so on. The research on nanoceramic has become the focus of present material research. It is one of the trends in future that dental nanoceramic will replace the traditional ceramic. At present , most research on nanoceramic is mainly focusing on follow fields such as the hardness, super plasticity and preparation of nanoceramic. Little attention has been paid to the performance of polishing of nanoceramic. This study took nanoceramic material IMAGINE REFLEX as experimental materials. By evaluating the surface of ceramic specimens... |
