Objective: Psychosomatic diseases are common in clinics. By the pathological researches focus on these psychosomatic diseases, It is more and more clear that psycho-social factors play important role in the course of onset, development and prognosis. Patients with hyperthyroidism is the disorder of endocrinological systems and records of psycho-social stresses, so that it can be supporting to develop clinical comprehensive treatment program.Method: 60 patients with hyperthyroidism were randomly divided into research group (n =30 ,anti-hyperthyroidism combined with Neurostan (600mg/d) and control group (n =30 , single anti-hyperthyroidism) for 12 weeks. Score-decrease rates of depressive and anxious symptoms at pre-treatment and ends of the 4th and 12th week of treatment were evaluated by the SDS and SAS ,and levels of FT3and FT4 measured at pre-treatment and end of the 12th week to evaluate the curative effect of hyperthyroidism. Statistic treatments of all data were conducted with t-test .Results: After 12 weeks treatment , compared with control group ,scores of SDS,SAS and level of FT3,FT4,TSH in research group obviously decreased ,differences were significant ( P < 0. 05~0. 01) ; differences were the most significant in comparisons of the SDS ,SAS , FT3 and FT4 of both the 2 groups between pre-treatment and end of 12th week( P < 0. 01) .Conclusion: Psycho-social factors could influence the onset and development of hyperthyroidism.
