Effects Of Huoxue Huayu Recipe On ECM Degradation Of BLM-induced Lung Fibrosis

Lung fibrosis is the final result of lung injuries and the common pathological changes of many lung diseases. The pathogenesis of lung fibrosis remains incompletely understood. It is known that the abnormal accumulation of extracellular matrix (ECM) is the basis on which fibrosis develops. In clinic, steroid hormones and topical cytotoxic agents are the primary medicines which used to treat IPF, but the treating effect is indefinite accompanied with obvious side effects. In recent years traditional Chinese drugs have achieved great success in the therapy of lung fibrosis, and show a bright future.Object: My study intends to measure the effects of Huoxue Huayu Recipe on the activity and content of PAI-1 in BALF and the expression of matrix metalloproteinase-2 protein of lung tissue.
