| Objective: The aim is to investigate incidence, mechanisms and risk factors of the vasovagal reaction during cardiac interventional therapy. Method : 1623 patients undergone cardiac interventional therapy. through femoral artery were observed in our study, 69 of 1623 (4.25%) developed the vasovagal reaction. Results: Perioperatively, the incidence of the reaction was significantly different in the three periods (during procedure, removing sheath and post-procedure), 1.05%,2.77% and 0.43% respectively(P<0.05). The incidence during removing sheath is higher than the incidence during procedure and post-procedure (P<0.01). The incidence in the older group(5.21%) is distinctively higher than that in the younger(2.37%). (p<0.05). The incidence of the vasovagal reaction is separately 4.14%,4.10%,3.57%,6.81% in coronary angiography, radiofrequency cather ablation , interventional catheterization in congenital heart diease and PTCA.The incidence in PTCA is higher than that in any other group (p<0.05).Conclusion: The vasovagal reaction is prone to occur during removing sheath .and the incidence in older patients is higher than that in the younger . The incidence in PTCA is higher than that in any other group (p<0.05). |
