Study On The Problems Correlative To Technical Expertise Of Medical Malpractice

[Study background and Objectives] The expertizing verdict of medical malpractice is directly pertinent to the interest of physicians and patients in the medical tangle, but its objectivity and impartiality was often doubted. From 2002, the task of organizing judgement on medical malpractice has been undertaken by the medical academy, according to the statutes of treating medical malpractice promulgated by our government. Using statistical deduction and Logistic regression model, we evaluate the effect of the reforms in technical expertise of medical malpractice, explore the factors correlative to the expertizing verdict of medical malpractice and describe the regularity of constitution and distribution about medical negligence.[Method] In this paper, crossing-sectional study method is used to survey retrospectively the 304 medical malpractice cases conducted by the medical academy of Si-Chuan Province from September, 2002 to August, 2005.[Results] (1) The proportion of medical malpractice expertized by the municipal medical academy, which is responsible for the reformation of medical malpractice technical expertise from 2002, is higher than that of municipal expertise committee; (2)The provincial expertise verdict of medical...
