The General Surgery Department, the second affiliated hospital of Kunming Medical College,Kunming, Yunnan.[Abstract] Objective: To study the effect of Ulinastatin during ischemia-reperfusioninjury of rat pancreas and assess the possible mechanism. Mothods: 72 SD rats wererandomly divided into pseudoperation group, ischima-reperfusion group andUlinastatin group. During the pancreas ischemia 30 minutes and reperfusion in 0, 6,12 and 24 hour, serum TNF-α and IL-1β were determined by enzyme linkedimmunosorbent assay(ELISA), expression of bcl-2, HSP70 in pancreas celles werestudied by immunohistochemical methods and pancreas histopathology was observedrespectively. Result: The expression level of TNF-α in ischemia-reperfusion groupwas obviously higher than pseudoperation group and Ulinastatin group (P<0.05), theexpression level of IL-1β in ischemia-reperfusion group and Ulinastatin group wasobviously higher than pseudoperation group at 6h, 12h and 24h after reperfusion(P<0.05) ,but the expression level of IL-1β in Ulinastatin group was obviously lowerthan ischemia-reperfusion group (P<0.05) . The expression level of bcl-2 inUlinastatin group was obviously higher than pseudoperation group andischima-reperfusion group at 6h ,12h and 24h after reperfusion(P<0.05 ),but there wasno significant difference between the group of pseudoperation andischima-reperfusion (P>0.05) .The expression level of HSP70 in ischima-reperfusiongroup and Ulinastatin group was higher than pseudoperation group at 12h and 24hafter reperfusion (P<0.05) .Histopathologic observation: the inflammation wasalleviated in the Ulinastatin group. Conclusion: Ulinastatin can reduce the expression...
