Part one Finite element analysis of wing-like memory alloy intrasegmentalfixator for lumbar spondylolysis ObjectiveTo analyze the tensile strength of wing-like memory alloy intrasegmental fixator (WMAIF) and tensile stress distribution in the device during force loading with finite element method(FEM). Materials and methodsThe designed parameters, scanning image and mechanical properties of WMAIF were put into computer for the three-dimensional model of WMAIF by using ANSYS8.0 software for large finite element analysis. The model was extended with restriction in different parts, and to undertake corresponding mechanics calculation.
