AIM: To analyze the reasons of non-bleeding anemia occurred in patients with end-stage liver disease, and investigate the mechanism of the anemia to find the proper way to improve this condition.METHOD: We collected clinical data from 257 cases hospitalized during 2000.3-2005.12 with end-stage liver disease complicated by non-blooding anemia, including history report, physical examination, related lab tests and therapeutic methods of the patients. To explore the probable reasons, mechanism of anemia during treatment process and find more effective ways to treat these patients, we investigated some factors and analyzed morphological characteristics of blood cells in marrow and peripheral blood.Result: The basic treatments of these cases were to reduce the level of the serum transaminase and bilirubin, give the infusion of the plasma,albumin and SAG,and other supporting treatment.In the group which found the anemia at the admission, average hemoglobin level is 83.57g/L,average MCV is 95.02fl,average MCH is...
