Objective: To study the protein expression and correlation of CD147, MMP-2, MMP-9 in human gliomas,and explore the relationship between expression of CD147, MMP-2, MMP-9 and invasiveness of glioma and investigate its mechanisms and clinical value.Methods: The protein expression of CD147, MMP-2, MMP-9 in 60 cases of human gliomas and 10 normal brain tissues sarnies were detected by immunohistochemical technique. The relationship between CD147, MMP-2, MMP-9 and glioma invasiveness were studied.Results: (1) No positive staining of CD147 was found in normal brain tissues (0/10), the positive staining rate of CD147 in specimens of gliomas was 56.7% (34/60), there were significant difference in CD147 expression between gliomas and normal brain tissues (P <0.01); the positive staining rate of CD147 in gliomas of grade I ,II,III,and IV were 35.7%, 43.8%, 66.7%, and 80%, the expression of CD147 correlated with the glioma malignancy (r_s=0.5835,P<0.05); the positive staining rate of CD147 in gliomas of grade I ~II were 40% (12/30) and III~IV were 73.3% (22/30) , there were significant difference in CD147 expression between...
