PARTⅠTHE ACUTE CYTOTOXIC EFFECT OF SONODYNAMIC THERAPY WITH PIROXICAM ON HUMAN MAMMARY CANCER CELL LINEObjective: To observe the acute cytotoxic effect of sonodynamic therapy (SDT) with piroxicam on human mammary cancer cell line MDA-MB-231.Method: The cell viability of MDA-MB-231, which were treated by ultrasonic irradiation and piroxicam respectively, was detected by MTT colormetric assay. After the parameter of ultrasound irradiation (0.5 W/cm~2×30 s) and dosage of piroxicam (0.2 mmol/L) were determined, the acute cytotoxic effect of SDT with piroxicam on MDA-MB-231 cells was evaluated by MTT colormetric assay and the morphological changes of MDA-MB-231 cells were observed using transmission electron microscope.
