Clinical Research On Congestive Heart Failure Treated With JianXin Decoction

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of JianXin Decoction on the disease of congestive heart failure (CHF) and to probe its mechanism of action.Methods: 45 inpatients of CHF with cardiac function (NYHA) of gradeⅡ～Ⅳwere chosen randomly, and divided into treatment group (n=23) and control group (n=22). The treatment group was treated with JianXin Decoction as well as western medicine, while the control group was only treated with western medicine. Four week later,we observed the effect on the patients. Results: The total effective rate was 91.3% in treatment group and 63.6% in control group; the treatment group showed better effects than that in control group (P<0.05) as well as in alleviating symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine and cardiac function. Meanwhile the treatment group can reduce neural endocrine hormone, improve hemorheological parameters, and enhance the indexes of left ventricle function.Conclusions: It is concluded that JianXin Decoction is effective and safe for the patients with CHF. Its mechanism of action may be related to its effect on neural endocrine hormone and left ventricle function.
