Object Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a disease characterized by airflow limitation that is not fully reversible. The airflow limitation is usually progressive and results from an abnormal inflammatory response of the lungs to noxious particles and gases. COPD is charactered on chronic inflammatory throughout airway lung parenchyma and pneumoangiogram.Besides inflammatory mechanism, it also has other two mechanisms:out-of-balance between oxidizing and anti-oxidant and out-of-balance between protease and anti- protease which do efforts on the happening of COPD. In addition ,smoking or touching the polluted environments can also cause the inflammatory of lung tissue. It has been identified that COPD is the result of an environmental insult and the response of the host that is primarily genetically predetermined. However, the only established genetic risk factor of COPD is homozygousity of α1-antitrypsin (α1-AT) gene.Other genetic risk factors of COPD are uncertain. Early-onset COPD patients have a character of episoding in early age and developing more quickly,it is just regarded having a higher susceptibility in developing COPD,which makes more easily in screening risk factor of COPD. We investigated whether polymorphisms in gene for heme oxygenase-1 tumor necrosis factor-α human beta defensin-1 , microsomal epoxide hydrolase have any relations on individual susceptibility to the development of chronic obstructive...
