Cervical spine disk pathological changes are usually treated by cervical intervertebral discectomy or cervical spinal fusion with well-recognized therapeutic effect. However, cervical intervertebral discectomy may lead to decrease in height and instability of cervical spine, while cervical spinal fusion may accelerate the degeneration in adjacent segment and facet joints. With the development of materials science and biomechanics and further study on cervical spine disk and nucleus gelatinosus, the treatment of PDN appeared, which is mainly applied to lumbar spine. The treatmentto cervical spine have been rarely reported. ASIPDNFD, which is designed in this experiment with the concept and techniques of flexible stability, rebuilds intervertebral disc structure and biomechanics function, avoids the drawbacks in cervical intervertebral discectomy or cervical spinal fusion and prevents the cataplasia in adjacent segment. Objective:( I ) The prosthetic disc nucleus adaptable to insertion after cervical intervertebral discectomy was designed in the light of the features of cervical spinal anatomy and biomechanics of Chinese. Several specifications were made to accommodate the difference of experimental individuals; ( II ) The cervical spine specimen(cadaver) were inserted with ASIPDNFD PDN...
