Objectives: We use CEEG monitoring in the patients with acute supratentorial cerebral infarction(ASCI) within 48 h after onset of symptoms, observe the change of EmEEG and qEEG. It is our aim to investigate the diagnostic value of EmEEG , qEEG compared with CT,and the predictive value of qEEG by using a power spectrum analysis of delta waveband compared with NIHSS.Methods: 1. 42 inpatients with acute cerebral infarction, were collected from December 2004 to February 2006 in neurology department in our hospital. Chose the first 30 minutes artifact-free segment of CEEG as emergency-EEG(EmEEG), and compared its diagnostic value with CT. 2.In 25 inpatients with ASCI, chose 30 4-sec epochs(120s) of artifact-free EEG from each EmEEG, by means of fast Fourier transform(FFT) mean values of relative power were calculated for delta(2-3.8Hz), theta(4-7.8Hz), alpha-1(8-8.9Hz), alpha-2(9-10.9Hz),alpha-3(11-12.8Hz),β(13-30Hz)bands for each channel, and preponderant frequency were calculated too. Then we matched the diagnostic value of EmEEG and BEAM. 3. In 14 patients within 24 h after onset of stroke, analysis the relative power change of delta...
