| Background and ObjectivesIn recent years, the incidence of Malignant lymphoma (ML) is increasing, and the incidence of Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) is about 7 times more than that of Hodgkin's lymphoma (HD) in China. The imbalance of chromatin content in cells is the basic cause resulting in tumor. It shows the abnormal number and constitution of chromosome in cytogenetics and amplification, deletion and base alteration of DNA fragment in molecular level. Chromosome as the carrier of nuclear gene plays an important role in tumorigenesis. Investigators of tumor genetics have been paying close attention to it. There is few document about chromosome abnormality of NHL before the application of chromosome banding technique. One additional strap in the long arm of chromosome 14 was discovered by Manolov and Manolova in 1972, which initiated the cytogenetical study of NHL. But the progression in the field is slow at the beginning, with the rapid development of cytogenetical and molecular biology in recent 20 years, most chromosome aberrations and their correlation with molecular functions have been discovered. The high heterogeneity of NHL is correlated with pathology, immunology,... |
