The incidence of depression is higher than before. Acupuncture, one of the major parts of the Traditional Chinese Medicine, can alleviate the symptoms of depression patients. Mechanisms of its effect, however, remain unclear. Objective: our research is focused on observing the effect of acupoint injection (AI) Beishu and the changes of behavior in depression rats, furthermore, to explore some possible mechanisms by studying the effect of acupoint injection on nonspecific immunity in rat depression model.Methods:Thirty-two wistar rats were evenly randomized into control, model, AI and fluovetine groups. Depression model was established by using chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS) stimulation combined with lonely raise for 21 days. Fluovetine was applied to irritating stomach, once daily, continuously for 21 days. AI was applied to Beishu of the astragalus injection, once daily, continuously for 21 days. The rat's body weight and open-field tests were recorded the day before the experiments and on the 22st day. The nonspecific immunity was observed though the rat macrophage cell of abdominal cavity engulf of SRBC. The macrophage phagocytic percent and phagocytic index were counted.Results:1. Compared with control group, the rats' body weight, crossing and rearing motion times were significantly in model group (P<... |
