Objective:To evaluate the clinical related factors of recurrent laryngeal carcinoma and developed therapeutic effect ,and to investigate therapy and the prognostic factors of recurrent laryngeal carcinoma. Methods:The clinical recurrent factors and therapeutic effect of recurrent laryngeal carcinoma from 1995 to 2003 were analysed retrospectively. 13 cases of laryngeal carcinoma were supraglottic carcinoma; 9 cases of laryngeal carcinoma were glottic carcinoma; 16 cases of primary carcinoma were treated by partial laryngectomy ,and 6 cases of primary carcinoma were treated by total laryngectomy (21 cases were firstly operated in our hospital, another one was postoperative recurrence in other hospital) ;The patients with recurrent laryngeal carcinoma were adopted to the different operation on the basis of the different pathogenetic condition. Survival analysis was performed by Kaplan-Meier method; Results:The recurrence sites included locoregional recurrence, neck lymph node and distant metastasee. The 3-year and 5-year overall survival rates for patients with laryngeal carcinoma were 62.4% and 36.4%. The 3-year and 5-year overall survival rates for patients with recurrent laryngeal carcinoma were 24.6% and l%.The recurrence of laryngeal carcinoma were developed within 3-38 months, the median time of recurrence was 15 months;there were 8 locoregional recurrence, 7 neck lymph node recurrence,5 locoregional recurrence associated with neck lymph node recurrence, 2 distant metastases; The main complication was incision...
