Objective: malignant tumor is one of the diseases that threatens human physical health severely and has the maximal mortality rate. The traditional anticancer treatment, such as operation, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, has limited success, due to the hurdle that has no very clear conclusion about the study to the mechanisms of oncogenesis and immune escape of malignant tumor yet. For the past few decades, along with the improvement of molecular biological theory and technique, some experimental results showed that, the research to the tumor associated antigen(TAA) is one of the break through way to solve the problems. This is not only momentous to the fundamental study of tumor, but also is the procondition of early immunodiagnosis and immunotherapy to the cancer. Since 1980s', with the development and consummation of the screening methods by cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) and serological identification of antigen by recombinant cDNA expression libraries(SEREX)gradually, a great number of tumor rejection antigens can be used were detected, so the study of this region has been promoted enormously.Tumor antigen SC(SCAg), as a group of TAA investigated newly, is overexpressed in tumor tissues of epitheliular cells and not in normal. This is not only the ideal antigen to development neotype tumor vaccine, but also is important to the study of the etiology, pathology and immunology of the epithelial tumors.
