Objective: Observe the effect of acupoint injection on nerve-root cervical spondylosis.Methods: Sixty cases suffered from were randomly divided into treatment group of acupoint injection treatment and control group of acupuncture treatment.Then general status, points of clinical symptoms, points of ache degree, improvement and efficient of two groups were observed.Results: The treatment group treated with acupoint injection, 12cases were cured;14 cases had marked therapeutic effects;3 cases had certain improvement;1 cases did not respond to the treatment. The effective rate was 96.7 %. The control group treated with normal acupuncture, 8 cases was cured;13 cases had marked therapeutic effect;7 cases had certain improvement;2 cases did not respond to the treatment. The effective rate was 93.3%. There were no significant differences between the two groups (P>0.05). Points of clinical symptoms and points of ache degree in the treatment group 11.40 ± 2.99, 16.97 ± 5.41 improved 5.56 ± 1.79, 13.40 ± 4.41, compared with those in control groupl 1.57± 3.05, 17.03 ± 5.35 improved 3.80 ± 1.85, 11.23 ± 3.80. The improvements of points of clinical symptoms and points of ache degree in treatment group were0.5491 ± 0.2802, 0.7861 ± 0.0232, compared with those in control group were0.3933 ± 0.2784, 0.6523± 0.0634. There were significant differences between the two groups in points of clinical symptoms, points of ache degree and their improvements (P<0.05).Conclusion:Both needling method for treating nerve-root CS have certain therapeutic effect, but acupoint injection made a better effect.
