Study Of Organic Pollutants Analysis In Drinking Water In Daqing Area

The quality of drinking water is so much concerning with and living levelthat investigation of the organics in the source and the finished water and it'saffect on the people's heath, revising standards for drinking water quality,improving water treating technology in order to prevent water polluting havebecome the world hot points. By now new standards for drinking water quality is under revising, whichgives more attentions to organic pollutants in water, and the analyzing oforganics in waters and drinking water has becoming the hot study topic. As therewere no systematic analyzing methods in the new standards for drinking waterquality, especially many analyzing methods for organic pollutants could not beapplied to water quality monitoring, the investigation of organic pollutants andthe analyzing technology in Daqing area was carried out. As the same time manywater quality data were finished which could be supplied to water treatingimprovement.Studies on organic pollutants analyzing methods aiming at industrywastewater, increasing pesticide pollutants and disinfection by-products ofdrinking water treating were carried out. Methods for 9 kinds of benzenoid, 11kinds of cholorobenzens, 7 kinds of polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbon, six kindsof phenols, 16 kindes of organochlorine pesticides, 13 kinds of volatilehalocarbons, and nitrobenzene were established. With high performanceseparating column and good sample pretreatment technology of headspace andsolid phase extraction were used, each of the methods could be easily carried out ,with short analyzing time, low detectable limits,good precision and correlationcoefficient. And these methods were applied to analyze the organic pollutants inDaqing drinking water with satisfactory results.Thorough investigations on organic pollutants in drinking water in Daqingarea have been conducted and the species and the amounts of the organicpollutants have been analyzed, especially that of the mutagenic and carcinogeniccompounds. Furthermore, source water and finished water samples collectedfrom several treatment plants in two periods of the year were studied for theirmutagenicity. Pollution trends have been developed based on the investigationresults. The toxic compounds in water supply have been checked.The results showed that there were certain amount of organic pollutants in thesource water and drinking water. Benzenoid, chain hydrocarbon and polycyclicaromatic hydrocarbon constitute the most part of the organic pollutants.
