Objective: To investigate the relationship among the expression of ASH1, GFI-1 and VEGF,The characteristics in carcinoma of the lung, especially in small cell lung carcinoma (SCLC), and to provide a theoretical basis for clinical treatment and predicting prognosis. Methods: The S-P immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of ASH1 , GFI-1 and VEGF in small cell lung cancer and squamous cell lung cancer; The RT-PCR were used to detect the expression of VEGF in squamous cell lung cancer, small cell lung cancer and in normal lung tissue. These tissue were obtained form the Forth Hospital of Hebei Medical University from 1998 to 2002. To analyze all data for statistics use SPSS12.0 for Windows. Results: 1 The biological features comparated between in SCLC and squamous cell lung cancer: The positive rate of lymph node metastasis in the SCLC and squamous cell lung cancer respectively was 75.00% and 40.98%, the positive rate of tumor embolus were 94.40% and 55.10%, with significant differences (P<0.001). In the â…¡, â…¢ graded squamous cell lung cancer and SCLC, the positival rate of lymph node metastasis...
