Objective: Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), Bowen's disease(BOD)and actinic keratosis(AK)are the commonest non-melanoma skin cancers ( NMSC ) . The cause and pathogenesis of these skin cancers are unknown, yet. The current study shows that oncogene and anti-oncogene has been associated with the pathogenesis of skin cancers except for exposure to sunlight and HPV infection. In 1996,Ohta discovered fragile histidine triad in the short arm of human third chromosome by analysis detecting head and exon trapping,the gene span the fragile site of human chromosome—FRA3B,the abence of the gene is closed correlated with many cancer .Another study shows the absence of FHIT is correlated with environmental condition.Both skin cancer and FHIT are correlated with environmental condition. So this study was designed to explore regulators of the FHIT in the pathogenesis of skin cancers and to offer elementary theory for the gene treatment of skin cancers.Methods: Skin cancer patients, diagnosed by clinic and histopathology, were derived from the dermatology deparment of the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Hebei Medical University and Harrison International Peace Hosipital from June, 1999 to...
