1 ObjectiveThis study is complementarity of previous work that wuwenjiang et al have evaluated The IBS QOL questionnaire in TCM syndrome, which made by professor zhoufusheng. The work before have approved that this questionnaire has good validity and reliability. This study purpose to use this questionnaire in clinic, and and to see its sensitive degree between previous therapy and subsequent one both on IBS sufferers and the health. We try to provide a scientific gist that will enrich the curative effect determinant system of IBS.2 MeansCD During the state from May to December in 2005, we have picked up 116 IBS sufferers , who seeked help in the digestive clinic and endoscopic office of the first hospital pertaining to GuangZhou traditional Chinese medicine university and accord with standard (diagnose according with the 1999 Roman II standard, and differentiating standards of Principle of guidance of new Traditional Chinese Medicine, and have been received the evaluation of The IBS QOL questionnaire in TCM syndrome for more than twice. The 116 patients filled in new forms after 1 month' s treatment, the health selected to fill in the forms after a week.(2) let. the patients finish the questionnaires at the scene, those who can not finish because of low education or other reasons, can be helped by the tester. Observe the variation of the forms in different parts, and use software pact SPSS 11.0 to make statistic analysis.3 OutcomesFrom the questionnaires' score , the interval 1 months result show that the general score and every four part score have remarkable difference, thatis to say, it have remarkable statistics different, that shows the total living quality of IBS patients have been improved after a month' s treatment. The other side, the effect size statistics of the general score and every four part score all bigger than 0. 5, that show this questionnaire has a good sensitivity. The healthy fill in the forms after a week. There is no obvious difference between the general score and sectional score. The above study shows that The IBS QOL questionnaire in TCM syndrome is able to reflect the change of patients' health sensitivily. From other angle, this proves that the treatment of IBS is a long and repeating process and it accords with the course of functional disease. This study approved that this questionnaire has a good sensitivity, and evaluate the TCM treatment impersonally.4 ConclusionThis questionnaire is sensitive in reflecting the variation of healthysituation of IBS patients in the 1 months, which shows it have a goodsensitivity.
