| Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a common disease of autoimmune chronic disease and its cause is not yet been demonstrated The purpose of curing such disease is to relieve the pain, control the worsening of the state of illness, maintain the function of the arthritis and muscle ard even improve the life quality. The common used three routes of medication and immune inhibitor can only choke back RA while cannot control the state of illness, and what' s more, there is blight after long time usage. The acupuncture and moxibustion dated back to 2500 years ago, is the rarity of traditional medication in our country. The clinical practice has proved the effectiveness of acupuncture. It is of great value that using the modern medical theory and methods to proof-test the value of acupuncture and moxibustion towards RA and to deeply study the principle of acupuncturing.At present, the indexes of curing RA ay acupuncture and moxibustion are: the number of swelled joint,the number of painful joint, duration time of morning stiffness, grip strength, ESR, RF, CRP,SOD, LPO, LEK, ect. They are all the indirect idexes that make the judgment of the curing lack of intuitionisticness and comparableness. Nowadays, the early diagnoses of RA by clinic are still difficult and unscientific. The congruent rate of traditional indexes such as RF, ESR and CRP are only 51.2%, 61.3% and 74%. Also, they can not be used to dianose RA in the early time and lack of particularity. As the fact that it can only show the abnormity when the density of partial bone phosphate varies by nearly 50%, the X-Ray diagnosis is very difficult when RA does not show the particularity. Causing the breakage of arthritis osseous and make the function of the arthritis lost, at this time, the X-Ray diagnosis is sensible while meaningless to the diagnosis and recovery of RA. The early strengthening of RA partial bleeding and metabolizability of arthritis phosphate and the late arthritis gristle is the main cause of causing the partial radionuclide 99mTc-MDP increase. The whole and partial imaging of 99mTc-MDP can make higher congruent rate, which ranks to 87. 5%. we can view from this that the 99mTc-MDP imaging is of certain clinic value to the early diagnosis to RA.Objectives: to treat early and active RAwith acupuncture, and evaluate the curative effect using bone imaging with "'Tc-MDP. Methods ""Tc.-MiP whole body imaging, feet and hands regional bone imaging were performed in 102 patients with RA. The radionuclide uptake of RA lesions/normal bone ratio(T/NT) was analyzed using region of inteiest analysis. The patients v.ere average divided A, B and C groups. A groups were treated by Fengshining compound, B groups by acupuncture and moxibustion, C groups by acupuncture moxibustioa and fengshining compound. "Tc-MDP imaging were performed again after treated. Results The T/NT of A, B and C groups were 4. 27 + 1. 03^ 4. 38±1.22 and 4.45 + 1.23 (F=0.203, p>0. 05)before treatment, respectively. The T/NT were 3.88 ±0.915, 2.87 + 1.12 and 2.10 + 0.91 (F-27. 130, p<0.01) after treatment, respectively. The T/NT of A groups was of no significant difference before and after treatment (t=l. 38, p>0.05) .The T/NT of B and C groups were significant different before and after treatment (t=5.3l> 8.97, p<0.01) . Conclusion Acupuncture moxibustion could play an important role in promoting reparation of RA lesions.
