| Objective: To explore the clinical and pathological features of Uygur patients with glomerular diseases in Xinjiang and find out the differences between the Uygur and the Han patients. Methods: The clinical and pathologic data of 213 Uygur patients accepted renal biopsy in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University and the People's Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Atonomous Region from January 2001 to March 2005 were retrospectively analysed and was compared between the Uygur and the Han patients. The mean age at renal biopsy was 30.455±12.957 years in the Uygur with PGD, and it was younger than that of the Han. A high incidence rate of the Uygur patients occurred at the age from 20 to29 years, while the Han patients had their high incidence rate at the age of30 to 39. MsPGN was the most frequent patholigictype (32.02%) of the Uygur patients with PGD, followed by MCD and IgAN(both 13.48%), MN(12.93%).
