| Calmodulin(CaM) is an important protein which has many functions in cells. Combining to Ca2+ in cell, CaM play a very important part during metabolism of cell. Many researches have found that CaM was expected to be a mutifunctional protein drug or subsidiary drug. So, CaM has extensive exploiting value.It is confirmed that there are plentiful CaM in the brain of cattle or sheep, and the CaM could be exploited to creat new drug. XinJiang is an important animal husbandry habitat, there are momentous biology resources which can be used to exploit new drug. If these biology resources could be utilized reasonably , it would provide a new channel for the development of XinJiang biopharmaceutic business.On one hand, this paper firstly extracted CaM from the brains of cattles roughly, then CaM was separated by cellulose ion exchanger chromatography, we obtained less purifed CaM. Observed by PDE method, specific activity of the CaM was 10800 IU/mg. Observed by SDS-PAGE, the mensuration of Calmodulin is around 16000Da. We found that the activity of CaM that came from cattles brains was strong by this simple extracting method. So it has made much praperations for next purification and provide a new method for the development of CaM pharmaceutic industry in the future.On the other hand , we carried out a series of experiments in order to exploit pharmacodynamic action of CaM. After fed with CaM, the blood glucose of normal mice droped , the blood glucose level was lower than mice fed with normal saline, so , we speculate CaM could decrease blood glucose of normal mice to some extent ; Compared to normal saline, CaM also could relieve the tension of Trachea smooth muscle and small intestine smooth muscle obviously; But under hypoxia condition, compared to normal saline, CaM couldn′t strengthen tolerance of mice. |
