The Measurement And Comparative Study Of Macular Thickness In Diabetic Retinopathy Patients

Objective:1. To analyse the correlation between age and macular thickness.To analyze the difference between left eye and right eye,male and female. To measure the normal macular thickness of the healthy people use the ocular coherence tomography.2. To investigate the diagnostics value between Optical coherence tomography and Heidelberg retinal tomography in macular edema.Method:1. To measure the macular thickness of 80 healthy people which were divided into 8 groups use the Optical coherence tomography (Zeiss STRATUS OCT MODEL 3000).2. To divide the 40 backgroud diabetic retinopathy patients use fluorescein fundus angiography into two groups :macular edema group and without macular edema group.To invest the macular thickness use the Optical coherence tomography,to invest the edema index use the Heidelberg retinal tomography.Analyze the results use statistics test.Results:1. There aren't difference between left eye and right eye^ male and female with the macular thickness.There aren't correlation between age and macular thickness.In our study, the thickness of fovea which is measured by optical coherence tomography is 173±13μm , its 95% reference value is 148-198μm. The thickness of fovea region centered in fovea ,1mm diameter is 193±13μm , its 95% reference value is 168-218μm .2. The dignose of macular edema in background diabetic retinopathy patients use the OCT examination the Kappa value is bigger than theHRT- II examination. Make the FFA as the standard macular edema group and without macular edema group,OCT examination p=0.0001, HRT- II examination p=0.0856. Conclusion:1. There aren't difference between left eye and right eye> male and female with the macular thickness.2. There aren't correlation between age and macular thickness.3. In our study the thickness of fovea which is measured by optical coherence tomography is 173±^m , its 95% reference value is 148-198μm. The thickness of fovea region centered in fovea ,1mm diameter is 193±13μm , its 95% reference value is 168-218μm .4. The thickness of inner ring is thicker than that of outer ring .The thickness of nasal is thicker than that of the temporal.5. OCT examination and HRT- II examination can be use to quantitative measurement in diabetic macular edema.6. The demonstrably diagnose of OCT examination is better than HRT- II examination.7. The misdignosis rate is bigger than the rate of missed dignosis in macular edema dignosis use HRT-II and it can be use to screen the diabetic macular edema in diabetic retinopathy patients.
