AimCerbral infarction Is a commonly disease with annual incidence of 93/100, 000,80 per cent patients is crippled, there is no effective treatment of cerbral infarction, The present study is designed to investigate the clinical application problems of self - marrow stem cell transplantation in the treatment of cerbral infarction by observing its treatment effect.Materials and Methods1. subjects :18 patients of cerbral infarction was rolled in the hospital from June 2004 to August 2005.2. methods: prior to the operation, the following lab tests were performed: blood routine, urine routine, hepatic function, renal function, bloodglucose, blood-ingtime, coagulanttime, ECG. First, marrow puncture was performed to get marrow with the volume of 100 - 160ml from each patients. Then,marrow was sent to the lab to separate marrow stem cells,get the volume of 2. 5 -5ml,which was injected into lateral ventrical of patients to observe the treatment effect.3. statistical analysis;the data were expressed as mean ± SE. Changes in muscle tension, muscle strength and ect, were analyzed by pair - T test with the software of SPSS 11.5. P <0.05 was statistically significant.ResultsThe patients showed obvious decrease in muscle tension, a little improvement of muscle strength with different degrees, little improvement of dysarthria, dysphagia. The following visit results showed that improvement time last 3 weeks. Some patients shows fever, headache, nausea, vomit, and etc. But the mentioned symptoms above would be disappeared in 7 days.DiscussionTo day, there is no effective treatment methods of cerbral infarction sequelae. In the recent study, Self - marrow stem cell transplantation was observed to improve some symptoms of cerbral infarction, such as : muscular tension, muscle strength, aphasiaNswallow and ect. The reason is now indefinite. We propose that it may be related to the following factors:Marrow stem cell may be differentiated to neuron in some condition, with resulting in the rebuilding of neural ciucuts.Transplanted marrow stem cell may secrete some substances , which enhance or inhibit the activities of some neural structure related to the regulation of muscle tension,resulting in the decrease in muscle tension.There are some hibernant neurons in CNS in patients. They may be stimulated to funct or contribute to the symptoms improvements after the transplantation.The transplantation mixture may have effect on some neurotransmitters in CSF,which may contribute to the symptoms improvements.Conclusion1. self - marrow stem cell transplantation have a valid effect in the treatment of cerbral infarction. Some patients have symptom improvements with different degrees.2. self - marrow stem cell transplantation is safe in the treatment of eerbral infarction. No obvious complication can be found in 3 weeks. |
