| OBJECTIVE To investigate the effect of PQS on ventricular remodelingin rats. METHOD Model of ventricular remodeling in rats was made byabdominal aortic band which could induce the pressure over-load. 70 male Wistarrates were divided into 5 groups: sham, model, PQS (100mg/kg), PQS(50mg/kg),benazepril (2mg/kg). To observe the changes of hemodynamics,histopathologics of myocardical cells ,the ventricular weight index (VWI), thecontent of AngⅡ, ET, PGI2, TXA2, SOD, MDA , NO after 6 weeks. RESULT Compared with the sham group, the myocardial fibres becamebigger,longer and arranged in disorderwith a wider space between the fibres.Therewas hyperplasia small bloodvessels,which was surrounded by much deposition ofcollagens,which extended to the myocardial interstitium in the model groupsunder light microscope;The SBP, DBP, MAP and LVDEP were higher. Theventricular weight index (VW were significantly higher (P<0.01). So the model ofventricular remodeling was set up successfully. Compared with the model group,the content of AngⅡ, ET , TXA2 , MDA were lower (P<0.05 或 P<0.01) and thecontent of PGI2, SOD, NO were higher in the PQS (100mg/kg), PQS (50mg/kg)and benazepril (2mg/kg) (P<0.05 或 P<0.01). There were no significantly changesin these groups in hemodynamics. CONCLUSION PQS can inhibit the ventricular remodeling in rats byrefining the hemodynamics, reducing the content of AngⅡand ET, improving thecontent of NO and keeping the balances of TXA2/PGI2, SOD/MDA. |
