The CT Angiography Of The Ovarian Vascular And It's Clinical Significance

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the demonstration of the left ovarian vascular especially for the ovarian vein during the arterial phase in MSCT and it's CTA techniques. The propriety of technique and post processing were wanted to be found which to demonstrate ovarian vascular on MSCT, and the correlation with clinical factors as well as the clinical significance of this finding. METHODS Through analyzing different kinds of scan and reconstruction methods, we chose the best one to demonstrate the left ovarian vascular. Then, patients were divided into different groups according to related clinical factors such as diseases, times of birth, the age of menarche and the size of ovarian vein in various planar. The correlation of the demonstration of ovarian vein during the arterial phase and these various factors were studied through statistics treatment. RESULTS The demonstration of the left ovarian vein during the arterial phase have correlation with scan condition, the rate of injection of contrast material, the total amount of contrast material, the parameters of reconstruction and the methods of reconstruction. The demonstration ratio of left ovarian vein during arterial phase is in direct proportion to the size of the vein in different planes and the age of the menarche , has no correlation with the number of times of parturition and the number of births. CONCLUSIONS The demonstration of the left ovarian vein during the arterial phase is a common finding in MSCT.
