Clinical Research On Knee Degenerative Osteoarthrosis Is Treated By Tonic Tendon And Tonifying Spleen

Objective: Observe the therapeutic effect of the knee degenerative osteoarthrosis by tonicing tendon and tonifying spleen. Methods: Sixty cases of DOA were divided into two groups randomly.(curing group) which has thirty patients of Shaoganzhitong Tang Ji Decoction and the group (controlling group )which has thirty patients of Diclofenac Sodium Dual Release Enteric-coated Capsules.The course of treatment was one month .The symptoms and physical signs were observed before and after treatment. Result: The symptoms and physical signs were improved after treatment. The curing group is superior to the controlling group which is significating in ameliorating Chinesemedicine symptom. (p<0.05). Some symptoms and physical signs of the control group such as joint's pain and stiffness in the morning were improved (p<0.05), but knee joint's function was no difference after treatment (p>0.05). On the contrary, the curing group is superior to the controlling group in the joint's function(p < 0.05). Four cases of the control group had gastrointestinal side-reaction, but the curing group had no toxic and side-effect. Conclusion: The knee joint OA was treated with Tonic Tendon and Tonifying Spleen, not only the symptoms and physical signs were improved, but that is a kind of safe and effective traditional Chinese method.
