| Objective To investigate the expression of Lamininreceptor(LN-R) and CD147 in invasive pituitary adenomas, andto evaluate the relationship between LN-Rand CD147 and theinvasion of pituitary adenomas. Methods LN-R and CD147expression were examined byimmunohistochemical method. Results The intense expression and total expression rateof LN-R in patients with invasived pituitary adenomas invasion(53.1%,84.4% respectively) were significantly higher than thosewithout invasion (4% ,30.4% respectivly, P<0.01), and theintense expression and total expression rate of CD147 of pituitaryadenomas patients with invasion ( 65.5%, 93.8% respectively),were significantly higher than those without invasion (13.0%,43.5% respectively, P<0.05).Conclusions The study suggested that LN-R and CD147might be associated with the aggressiveness and invasion inpituitary adenomas. LN-R and CD147 are two useful tools forassessing the invasion of pituitary adenomas. |
