The malignant tumor is the common and multiple disease that seriously threatens the physical and mental health of mankind, and it has been the emphase of medical research for years. The characteristic of invasion and matastasis is the main reason of tumor that causes people die. Therefore, it is an important way to decrease the mortality of tumor through the prevention and control to the characteristic of invasion and matastasis of tumor. Invasion and matastasis is the main biology characteristic of the malignant tumor, the growth, invasion and matastasis of tumor is a complicated course with many steps, which involves the course that the tumor cells go through the extracellular matrix (ECM) barrier, the basement membrane of blood vessel wall and go through the blood vessel wall into the tiny environment of host, with the newborn blood vessels forming at the same time. The matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) is a group of proteinase of the most importance, and plays an important role in invasion and matastasis of tumor, usually expresses excessively on the surface of malignant tumor cells. Moreover, because the decompounding to the basement membrane and intramatrical is extremely important to the move of endothelium cell which is essential to the blood vessel forming. Therefore, it is believed that MMP is a key in the blood vessel forming of the tumor. The tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase (TIMP) is a main endogenetic inhibiting factor of MMP in the tissues ,which can inhibit the MMP family from decompounding differentially. So the TIMP can be a new target for the prevention and the treatment to tumors from invasion and matastasis, thus the biology behavior of the tumor which is tremendously harmful is avoided. The TIMP is a group of glycoprotein of low molecular...
