| Objective To investigate the Effect of Glucocorticosteroid on TNF-α, IL-1β of severe TBI patients, demonstrate adverse effect of Glucocorticosteroid on TBI severe patients, guide reasonable clinical medication. Methods according to complete randomization principle, patierts were divided hormonic group(20 case) and non-hormonic group(22 case). The harmonic group use routine dose Dexame-thasone treatment. The non-hormonic group apply similar treatment except Dexamethasone. TNF-α , IL—1β of plasma were detected by ELISA at day 1,2,7,14 after injury. Other 15 healthy people were selected to be as control. Results At any time points TNF- α IL—1β of non- hormonic group had significant increase with control group(P<0. 01), at day 1 , 2 TNF- α, IL—1β of hormonic group had significant difference with control group (P<0.01), had no significant difference with non- hormonic group (P>0. 05). at day 7, 14harmonic group's plasma levels of TNF- a > IL—1 $ had no significant difference (P>0. 05)Conclusions Glucocorticosteroid have obvious tardive to decrease plasma levels of TNF- a A IL—1 £ of TBI patients, which could not eliminate detrimental effect originated by TNF-a ^ IL—1 £ in earlier period of injure. Furthermore low levels TNF-a ^ IL—1 0 decreased by Glucocorticosteroid did not exert neuroprotective effect during convalescent period. The effect of Glucocorticosteroid on- TNF- a ,, IL—1 ]3 maybe is one of disadvantage factor to severe TBI patient?... |
